After many hours of planning and preparation, the agenda for the State President's Visit to the South District is now on the Florida Elks website. Click here to see the events and download the form to buy tickets. (Scroll down to the South District Visitation details.) Ginger and Pat will also have the forms available in the office. No tickets will be distributed for these events - just check in when you arrive and pick up your table assignment but reservations are a must!
It will be a fun filled weekend.
Friday, August 27
Meet and greet the Presidential Party at the Holiday Inn Express on Kendall Drive, then head up to North Miami for dinner. Kim Bankston will play during and after dinner. Tropical casual - no shorts or t-shirts.
Saturday, August 28
Start the day off with a little culture by visiting the Lowe Museum on the University of Miami campus, then it's on to the South Miami Lodge for lunch. Casual attire.
After a brief rest in the late afternoon, the festivities will resume at 948 with an old-fashioned USO dance. This one is either cocktail attire or military dress.
